Jan is from Czech Republic and Ludmila is from Venzuela. We like living in the Joshua Tree and enjoy sharing this experience with others. We love our neighborhood and wish to help travelers just like ourselves to explore this quirky desert community in Southern California that has garnered attention as a relaxing destination because of its beautiful desert landscape and off-grid bohemian vibes. Jan works in Internet / network business and Ludmila is a chef. We love going to Joshua Tree National Park and hike through the serene and beautiful landscapes and also do little bouldering. We like watching stars and metorite trails on quiet summer nights with a glass of wine, or roast sausages in the fire pit. We enjoy the rustic and laid back lifestyle of joshua Tree and its community.

Great little house, just perfect for the four of us. It has everything you may need, fast internet, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and very nice backyard.
The place is close to Joshua Tree town and the National park.

Jan's place is unreal. The pictures don't do it justice. It was much bigger than we expected and housed 11 people more than perfect. Even though there are only two bathrooms, we never had any issues. The view (and stargazing) is incredible! You have to take a dirt road for a ways to get there and its about 30 mins from the park, but it honestly was the best stay and we will definitely be coming back!

The Orion House is a truly remarkable gem in the Yucca Valley. I have been to Joshua tree several times throughout my years and have never seen as many stars. My girlfriend and I and our friends had plenty of room in the spacious home. There is a nice fire pit and space to relax outside. Please keep in mind this property is off about 2 miles of dirt road so you need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to access it. Also, it is wise to bring groceries as the property is 15 to 20 minutes from the nearest grocery store. Twentynine palms and Joshua tree downtown have great locations for food, alcohol or other items. I highly recommend this space if you look to escape, and want a ranch-like, homestead experience.

We love the Orion house! Exactly as it was described and shown in the picture if not better. Very spacious and clean. Perfect place for a peaceful getaway from your urban lives. Love the master bed room and how it’s designed. Will definitely stay here again in the near future!

Really enjoyed our stay at Orion House. It was very spacious and it was such a great place to relax and have a great time as a family.
Also, making a reservation through Joshua Tree getaway was very easy, smooth and saved us couple hundreds of dollars.

Jan’s Airbnb was spectacular! Much better than anticipated. Everything you need to escape the city and enjoy the outdoors. It is isolated but after 10pm I’d suggest keeping all music and noise level indoors, for there are neighbors that had complained about our music being too loud. Neither less, amazing place and would definitely recommend!

The Orion House was very clean and it was good all around for us to stay at. When we first got there, we enjoyed the outdoor. There is a lot of space and we took some pictures during sunset. We enjoyed bonfire at nights and the stars. The night sky is just amazing. There are two bathrooms, one being in the master bedroom downstairs. Considering we had different families- 12 people- more bathrooms would have been nice but we worked it out. The AC works well and there was a large dining table for all of us to sit and enjoy dinner. The common places were also nice and there was space for all of us to enjoy. Overall we all had a great time.

Orion house is everything you could want from a remote desert getaway, plus so much more!! Jan & Ludmila’s home is quant, beautiful & special with the many amazing outdoor nooks that leave you happy exploring all day. I was beyond excited to find the house stocked with a full kitchen, game closet and sparkling clean. I highly recommend you visiting the spectacular outdoor show once the sun goes down. The Orion house is truly a place to experience. Thank you Jan & Ludmila for your hospitality. I will be returning again
